BONIFIED

Boneified explores the imitation of nature through leather detailing and material manipulation, translating organic structure, texture, and form into sculptural, wearable accessories. Developed during my sophomore year at Savannah College of Art and Design in a materials and processes course, the collection marked my first deep exploration into leather as both material and medium. Through shaping, molding, and constructing by hand, I began pushing leather beyond its traditional use—treating it not as fabric, but as structure that could be engineered, carved, and built.

Collection Details
This hands-on experimentation became the foundation of my commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and the discipline of making handbags and leather goods. More than a project, Boneified represents a pivotal moment in my creative journey: the point where I rediscovered accessory design, developed my design language, and felt confident in my identity as both a designer and a maker. The collection established my voice within the studio and ultimately led to my work being selected for the SCAD Fashion Show.
